Job Description        
Strategic planning to beat the competition
  • Environment scanning to assess business potential,
  • Mapping competitor products and Liability & forex business
  • Scan the digital banking opportunities worldwide and their applicability to Afghanistan
  • Periodic Assessment of Bank\'s existing services viability and profitability with recommendations on removal and revision of charge rates.
  • Developing of Bank strategic plan with the periodic review on significant internal and external environmental changes.
Marketing:
  • Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising, promotional, and public relation activities.
  • Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products and gain competitor information.
  • Oversee and ensure timely and professional production and delivery of Bank’s commercials, publications, promotional materials, press & media communication, and other marketing stuff.
  • Seek active in the market for sponsoring groups, activities, or events for marketing and promotion purposes.
  • Execute communications and marketing programs designed to increase business by attracting new/prospective clients.
  • Propose creative marketing approaches to drive business and address key business challenges and opportunities in the market.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing products.
  • Monitor competitive position within applicable customer segments and overall industry through on-going customer & market research and industry studies.
  • Manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects.
  • Monitor, review, and report on all marketing activity and results.
  • Cooperate in assembling and editing of Bank’s newsletter
  • Determine and manage the marketing budget.
Customer Relations:
  • Design and implement campaigns to deepen existing relationships.
  • Introduce Relationship Managers / SPOCs for special clients
  Correspondent Relations:
  • Establish and manage the relationship with other domestic and foreign banks and financial services providers in the country.
  • Develop long-term and short-term investment strategies.
  • Review and recommend changes to the investment policies based on the market conditions.
Additional Responsibilities:  
  • Providing business development related training only to the employees of the Head Office income generating units and Branches.
  • Official Events Management
  • Special tasks are given by CEO and BOS from time to time
  • Scan the digital banking opportunities worldwide and their applicability to Afghanistan
To sum up, the CBDO will be responsible for developing a business strategy with periodic revision on significant changes, developing new Income stream channels of services, rationalizing the existing income generating units with the assignment of competitive pricing, achieving the targets against quantifiable deliverables and ensuring profitability of the services of each income generating units of the Bank.

Job Requirement      
  • University degree, preferably in Marketing/Sales or Business Management field.
  • Total + 10 years working experience, at least 5 years experience in managerial level in the Marketing field.
  • Past experience in Banking will be an advantage.
  • Able to concisely articulate and explain banking product needs and solutions.
  • Knowledge of developing and maintaining marketing strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy.
  • Professional and innovative.
  • Persuasiveness and disciplined.
